We walked around Old Town and it was HOT! We got to sample a lot of yummy food at the Taste of Wichita though. Around 6:00 we headed to the arena for the concert.
Dave Matthews was AMAZING! It was such a fun concert! Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures to share. No cameras were allowed. We had to walk mine ALL the way back to the car and lock it up in the trunk. I was sad. Tons of other people snuck theirs in, but mine is too big to hide in my bra! There were definitely some other illegal things snuck in too. Security was tight though. I’m pretty sure I got my suggested calories for the day just from drinks. Early in the day at the Taste of Wichita they gave us each 5 tickets good for 5 small drinks (wine & beer). Then we went back on the way to the concert and they gave us each 5 more! One of Andy’s employees works part time at the arena and he was working the closest alcohol stand to our gate so he hooked us up with drinks the rest of the night. I was afraid I wouldn't be feeling well this morning, but I was fine :)
Black Joes Lewis and the Honeybears opened for Dave. They were really good.
I'm so lucky to have such an awesome mom who will drive 5 hours just to come watch the kids so we can have a day of fun alone :)
Here are some pictures I took of Andy before the concert. He hates when I make him be my model, but I knew he would think these were cool. He thinks they look like pictures that would be on an album cover.
