Easy Yummy Meatballs

I'm going to an appetizer recipe swap tomorrow. I decide to bring meatballs. Mainly because we could have them for dinner tomorrow night too since it makes so much :)

Here's what you need:

Frozen Meatballs (I usually buy the Great Value brand at Wal-Mart because they're cheaper but this was all Dillions had)(I used two 16. oz bags this time)
1 chopped Green Pepper
1 cup of chopped onions (I bought the frozen kind because I cry when I cut onions and I was being lazy!)
1 cup of teriyaki sauce
3/4 of the 10 oz. jar of sweet and sour sauce
20 oz. can of crushed pineapples
1 cup of cooked rice (optional & not pictured)

1) Chop your pepper and onions
I would normally use my Tupperware chopper I love, but I didn't want to dirty any more dishes!

Since my sink already looked like this...

Because I'm the only one in our house who knows how to load and unload the dishwasher!
2) Dump all ingredients in crock pot and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3-4
3) Enjoy :)

I also decided to bring these.

Because they're sooo stinkin good. They are baking right now and making the house smell delicious! It was nice to not have to share the extra batter in the bowl and on the spoon with the kids too (they are in bed)!

I made these the other night for the guys at Andy's work. I told them it was their present for letting me steal Andy for a full week. They said it was a great trade :)
He's officially on vacation. Wahoo!!! We will be in Vegas in 3 nights!

Art Class

Daddy didn't have to go to work until 12 today so Kenzie and I went to the Art Museum to make a mask!

We got to walk across this cool "bridge" that had pretty stained glass under it.

She looks so big here

The teacher, Miss Janet, went over the rules of the museum. (Mommy got in trouble for flash photography with these first pictures. I didn't know!) One of the rules was called duck tails - The kids had to put their hands behind their back so they wouldn't touch anything. Kenz told Miss Janet this reminded her of Wendy when she has to walk the plank in Peter Pan.
We listened to a story about masks and learned about different masks from all over the world.

Kenzie trying on the sample mask.

And her finished masterpiece!

Isn't this piece amazing!?

Baby Photo Contest

I entered this picture of Evan in a Baby Photo Contest on facebook, and we won!
It was put on by Sugar Baby Boutique - a local boutique in Joplin, MO.
We won some cute baby stuff. Thanks to all my friends who voted!

I accidently left a Build A Bear in Evan's crib. It was one of the ones that has the sound button in it and ROARS when you push its hand. Evan was laying on it and we kept hearing "ROOOAARR ROOAAR" on the baby monitor. Ha!
Dez and Matt are coming to see us tomorrow and staying for the weekend. So excited! When I was tucking Kenzie in I asked her if she would let them have her bed the next 2 nights. She said, "No, I only have 2 pillows. Matt won't fit. He can sleep with you and Daddy though and Dez can sleep with me." I thought she'd like the idea of getting to sleep with me and Daddy, but I guess not! She's such a nut!

Fall Is Here

Summer is officially over.
It was a great summer. Super hot, but great.
We made a list back in May of things we wanted to do this summer.
Not only did we do everything on our list but we added a lot to it as we went along!
It was fun. We fit a ton of fun stuff into 3 months!

Today is Labor Day which means Fall is here! I love fall. I wish it lasted longer. Jeans. T-shirts. Flip-flops
We have started our Fall List. So far we have -
Pumpkin patch
Make mud pies
Corn maze
Hay ride
Halloween Party
Trick-or-treating
Soccer
Roast marshmallows
Make a pumpkin roll
Make carrot cake
Nature scavenger hunt
Play in leaves
Football game
Petting zoo
State fair
Carve jack-o-lanterns
Vacation
Pick apples
5K
Farmers market

Andy is really excited about the pumplin roll and carrot cake.
What else should we add to it? Any ideas?
